Places in the Castle Crete

The Castle Crete is the capital of the Kingdom and is located very near the center point of the Kingdom as well. It is the largest city in the Kingdom and reflects the vast culture and interests of its inhabitants.

Queen Megan School of Medicine and Surgery.

Queen Megan is regarded as one of the 'Great Queens' and was well loved and respected by the people. Queen Megan witnessed the horrors of war as the injured soldiers returned from the war against the Eastern Raiders. As a result, she spearheaded a massive overhaul and expansion of the medical system. She founded the school of medicine and surgery to train healers. Healers/doctors who are accepted to the school do not pay tuition and are also given room and board during their studies. They can also apply for a stipend to help with their expenses during their time at the school.

The Theatre District

The Theatre District is located on Cava Street and is home to four theaters. The Outpost Theatre, Dugan Theatre, Queen Airien Theatre and the Quil Theatre.  The Quil Theatre, the largest of the four, has a domed theater and is surrounded by Tregier Square, a group of expensive and exclusive shops. Performers generally 'work their way up the street,' beginning with the Outpost and working their way to the grand Quil. - Performances at the theatres include dramas, musicals, and comedies. Within the Theatre district artistic nudity is allowed. This is in contrast to the dance halls, where nudity is forbidden.

The Agora District

The Agora District is a short street which contains a variety of shops, including a bookstore, an art gallery, a number of pubs and restaurants, as well as a dance club. It is a vibrant area where traditionally there are no classes. Lords and Ladies mingle with the common workers, and all are considered of equal.

Bath House Row

Bath House Row is fed from the Giddon hot springs. There are four bathhouses, one of which is exclusive to men, one exclusively for women and one which is coed. The fourth bathhouse is also coed, but it has far fewer amenities and is priced to be affordable to the common citizen.  - Within the bathhouses, nudity is not allowed except in the dressing areas. Unless they are using a private bathing area, all persons are expected to wear a towel or other garment even while in the baths.

Galen Friary

The Galen Friary is the largest and oldest friary in the kingdom. It was established nearly two thousand years ago and was incorporated into the Castle Crete when it was built. The Galen Friary is also home to a large scriptorium as well as the second largest library in the Third Kingdom. Contained within the library is the oldest copy of the Great Scroll handed down from the original four prophets.
